Weekend Robbery and Kidnapping

Boise August 21st 2007, Boise Police Detectives are seeking more information about a robbery, kidnapping, that took place over the weekend.

On Sunday August 19th at approximately 1 AM in the morning a taxi cab driver picked up two adult black males downtown at 8th with the intended destination of the 5400 block of North Pierce Park Lane. According to the victim one of the males displayed a handgun and struck him with it, demanding that he give over his possessions and the taxi. The driver complied with the demand and the two males placed the victim in the trunk of the taxi. The suspects then drove the taxi for a short distance before the victim was able to escape the trunk as the vehicle was moving slowly, and contact police.

The victim describes suspects as being 2 black male adults in their mid 20's, roughly 6 foot 1 tall, weighing approximately 180 to 200 pounds. No facial hair was noted by the victim.
