Police Search for Suspect in Obscene Conduct

Police Search for Suspect in Obscene Conduct

Boise, August 15, 2007 - Boise Police are searching for the suspect in several recent reports of live obscene conduct and battery. Officers are asking the public's help in identifying the suspect before this crime occurs again.

Background: July 8th, Boise Police received a report of a man in a large retail store exposing himself and making physical contact with an unsuspecting female customer. Since that time, Boise Police have received six additional reports (seven reports in all). All the victims report a man of similar description exposing himself and actually making unsolicited physical contact or approaching them within touching distance. Officers believe the reports are connected to the same suspect. They believe the man may be following the women through the stores, unknown to the victims, until he makes physical contact or gets very close to them, which alerts the victims to his lewd behavior.

Six of the reports have come from large retail stores located on major thoroughfares throughout the Boise Bench area.

Suspect description: light skinned male, likely mid-20's, thin to medium build, dark hair that comes to a slight widow's peak on the forehead, 5'7" - 5'10" tall, and appears to have a tattoo on the right bicep.

    Dates of Reported Incidents: July: 8, 12, 14, 18, 21, 22; August 4

Suspect Info: Anyone with any information on the identity of the suspect in the store surveillance photos is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.

Additional Victims: Officers are concerned that this crime may have occurred and not been reported by the victims. If anyone has any information on recent similar criminal activity, they're urged to call Crime Stoppers.
