UPDATE: Police Search For Missing Elderly Woman

UPDATE: April 2, 9:15 p.m. - The family of the missing woman has notified officers that she has been located safe and unharmed at a home in Nampa. No further police involvement is expected at this time.

Original Release: 

April 1, 2007: Boise, Idaho: The Boise Police Department is investigating a missing person in the area of Vista and Nez Perce and is seeking assistance from the public in locating the 78 year old female.

At approximately 8:00 pm on April 1st, 2007 a Boise Police officer took a missing person report from family members of Lenora McFadden. The family told the officer that about 5:00 pm, Mrs. McFadden left the Boise Airport on foot and was last seen walking northbound on Vista Ave from Nez Perce St towards Overland Rd. Officers and family members are concerned due to Mrs. McFadden’s age and the cold, rainy weather conditions and do not suspect foul play at this time.

Physical Description: Mrs. McFadden is 78 years old. She is 5 ft 7 in tall and weighs approximately 230 lbs. She has silver hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a pink and white striped shirt and gray pants. She wears glasses and was carrying a red hand bag. Anyone who may have seen Mrs. McFadden or knows of her whereabouts is asked to call police dispatch at 377-6790.
