Quick Thinking Women Foil Car-Jacker

      Boise, March 11, 2007 7:30 pm - Boise Police are crediting two young women with preventing their own possible abduction when a suspect attempted to force his way into their car in the parking lot of Edwards Theater.

      The two women told officers that they were just getting into their car when a male subject appeared and attempted to forcibly gain entry to their vehicle. One of the women began screaming and honking her horn. This action forced the suspect to flee. The two women then called 911 and reported the suspect’s description and direction of travel to dispatchers.

      An officer quickly located the suspect walking east on Overland and took him into custody without incident.

      Arrested was Gabriel Uwumarongie of Boise. He was charged with Attempted Robberyand Attempted Kidnapping.
