Neighborhood Watch Summit

      Boise, March 12, 2007 - Treasure Valley residents invited to make their neighborhoods safer by taking part in the upcoming Neighborhood Watch Summit!

      The summit is an excellent opportunity to listen to crime prevention experts, learn from successes in other neighborhoods, and get involved in making the Treasure Valley a safer place to live, work and play.

      Workshops include topics on:

  • Planning Neighborhood Events
  • Gangs
  • Drugs
  • Identity Theft
  • Traffic Concerns
  • Disorderly Youth

      The key-note speaker at this years event is Matt McCarter. Matt is a terrific speaker with experience in event and neighborhood organization who is guaranteed to motivate you and your neighbors to take action to improve your own neighborhood!

      The Treasure Valley Neighborhood Watch Summit is a partnership between Boise Police, the Ada County Sheriff, Meridian Police, Nampa Police, Garden City Police and Caldwell Police.

      Those encouraged to attend include Neighborhood Watch Captains and other interested neighbors, Homeowners Association and Neighborhood Association board members, apartment managers, city government officials, law enforcement and all concerned community members.

      Plan to attend:

  • April 21, 2007
  • Courtyard by Marriot, 1789 S. Eagle Rd., Meridian
  • 8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
  • Registration is $25. The deadline to register is April 9th.
