Officers Search for Home Robbery Suspect

Boise, Feb. 26, 2007 - Boise Police are searching for a man who walked into a West Boise home today looking to steal prescription drugs.

Officers responded to the home on the 2000 blk. of Highwood, near Fairview & Cloverdale, at 8:12 this morning. Victims tell police a man, who had his identity concealed, came into the home through an open door. He had a gun and ordered two residents of the home, an elderly man and his 8-year-old grandson into a bedroom. The robber told the victims he was looking for prescription drugs. Neither the grandfather or grandson were hurt.

Officers believe the suspect targeted the home and the robbery was not random.

At this time, there is no further suspect description available for release and detectives are still determining what exactly was taken from the home. Information provided by neighbors on a possible suspect description have provided officers with additional leads.

If more information becomes available, this news release will be updated.
