Boise, Feb., 2, 2007 - Boise Police arrested one man this afternoon after finding a large and fairly sophisticated marijuana grow operation in his Northwest Boise home.

Arrested: Joshua D. Murray, 31, Boise

Detectives with the Boise Police BANDIT drug task force began their investigation about one month ago after a tip of possible illegal activity at a home on the 3400 blk of Shasta.

Officers served a search warrant at the home this afternoon and found 81 marijuana plants growing in two rooms of a converted garage. Detectives say the plants were each about three feet tall, with an approx. street value of about $4,000 each. Officers also found about two-pounds of harvested marijuana in the home.

Officers say Murray was a co-owner of the home and appeared to be the only full-time resident.

Anyone with information about possible illegal drug activity is urge to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
