Woman Injured in Construction Accident

Woman Injured in Construction Accident

Boise, October 18,2006 – Boise Police Officers and Ada County Paramedics responded to a construction accident at Cloverdale and Victory Roads. At 1:39 PM dispatch received a 911 call about a female flagger that had been run over by a 60,000 pound front-end loader.

The 47 year old Boise woman was directing traffic at the intersection of Cloverdale and Victory Roads for a major roadway expansion. The woman had her back turned to the front-end loader, and the driver had the bucket up blocking his view. The raised bucket apparently knocked the woman to the ground and the front tire of the loader ran over her. Paramedics rushed the victim to St. Alphonsus Hospital. Boise Police have their major accident team on location.

The Accident is under investigation.
