Law Enforcement Career Fair

Boise, Sept. 7, 2006 - The Boise Police Department will join several other agencies in a career fair and family public safety day this Saturday in Meridian. The event is meant to educate folks who are possibly interested in a career in law enforcement, and educate families about personal safety.

Boise Police will have representatives ready to talk to those interested in a career in law enforcement. Representatives from other agencies include the ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms), Boise Airport Police, Boise Crime Stoppers, Caldwell Police, Federal Highway Administration, FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation), Idaho Army National Guard, Idaho Correctional Center, Idaho State Police, Meridian Fire Dept., Nampa Fire Dept., St. Alphonsus Life Flight, Snake River Correctional Institution, Spokane County Sheriff's Office, and several others.

Families will also have the opportunity to see a variety of demonstrations by police and fire experts, get a child safety seat check and Safe Kids fingerprinting, meet McCGruff the Crime Dog, see the Life Flight Helicopter and meet the Life Flight team, try the Idaho Air Guard obstacle course and see their HumVee and Blackhawk helicopter on display.

                    When: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.,Saturday, Sept. 9th
