Bank Broadway Robbery

Friday August 18th -2006- Boise Police Officers are searching for a man who robbed a bank on Broadway Ave. this afternoon. Officers are also thanking an alert eye witness for helping to provide a good description of the thief.

Friday afternoon at approximately 12:17 PM dispatch received a bank robbery call from the Key Bank on the 1100 block of Broadway. Witnesses tell officers a man entered the bank and demanded money. He fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, some cash was recovered a short distance from the bank after the suspect apparently dropped it (Sorry, no amounts are available). No one was injured during the robbery.

A woman in the area, who was in the bank parking lot as the suspect left, thought it was suspicious to see a man run from the bank. She kept a close eye on him, was able to assist officers with his description. She was also able to lead officers to the cash that she saw the suspect drop.

Suspect Description: white male, approximately 5'10 to 6 feet tall, thin build, blue eyes and a thin, but full dark mustache. He appeared to weigh around 120 pounds. He was wearing dark clothing, dark colored pants and a black hooded jacket.
