Background: Boise Police were called to a robbery at the Key Bank on the 1100 block of Broadway at 12;17 p.m. A witness who saw a suspicious man running from the bank was able to give responding officers a good description of the man.

A second bank robbery call came in at 2:11 p.m. to the 1st Bank Northwest at  14th & Idaho downtown. A witness saw a man leaving the bank and gave police a detailed description of his vehicle. responding officers, including a Garden City officer responding to assist BPD saw a vehicle matching that description and the driver was taken into custody for questioning. After some questioning, officers have been able to charge that man with both bank robberies committed this afternoon.

"Alert citizens were a big help to police in finding this man," said Boise Police Deputy Chief Mike Webb. "When officers are given good information quickly after a crime, we can find those responsible. We're very happy to have this bank robbery suspect in custody."
