Homicide Suspect In Custody

Boise, April 20th, 2006 – A suspect in custody in the homicide shooting that occurred at 0018 hrs, April 15th 2006 on Ustick Rd. The suspect was taken into custody without incident on the 1200 block of Grant Avenue in Boise shortly after 10 PM on Wednesday April 19th.

Arrested: Kenneth Edward Elcock 25 years of age.

Charges: Murder in the 1st Degree, 3 counts of Aggravated Battery, 1 ct. of Discharge of a Firearm into an Occupied Dwelling, 1 ct. of Aggravated Assault, and 1 ct. of Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony

“Our Officers and Detectives have been working this case day and night. We are pleased that this dangerous individual is no longer on the streets of our community.” said Boise Police Chief Michael Masterson.

A news conference is scheduled for 10:30 AM in front of the Public Safety Building on Barrister to discuss the arrest. Specific details of the investigation that will now be forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorneys office will not be discussed.
