Arrest in Jogger Case

Boise, March 3, 2006 – As a result of an investigation by Boise Police and the Ada County Prosecutors Office, felony manslaughter charges have been filed against a man believed to have driven off the road, hitting and killing a female jogger September 9th, 2005.

Arrested: Kenneth Lukenbill, 30, Meridian (booking photo on ACSO website)

Charges: Felony Vehicular Manslaughter

What Happened: Police investigators believe Lukenbill was driving southbound on

Cloverdale between McMillan and Goldenrod just before 8:00 a.m. last September 9th when his car went off the road and hit the woman as she jogged on the shoulder of the roadway. Her dog was also hit and injured.

According to the Ada County Coroner, the victim, 39 year old Heidi Johnson was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital a short time later.

A warrant for Lukenbill’s arrest was issued earlier this week. Lukenbill turned himself into the Ada County Jail last night.
