Overnight Shooting

Boise, January 9, 2006 –– Boise Police are investigating a shooting that happened overnight on the 9800 block of Sussex.

Just before midnight, officers were called to a home after a report that shots had been fired. The occupants of the home tell officers the male resident answered a knock at the door to find two men standing there. An argument began between the men and the resident and a shot was fired into the ceiling. As the man tried to close the front door, a 39 year old female in the home came to help. A second shot was fired through the door and hit the woman in the ankle.

She was  hospitalized.

At this time, there is no suspect or motive information available for release. The investigation is ongoing.

Detectives do ask if anyone saw any suspicious vehicles in the area to please call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
