Community Event Outreach Request

The Boise Police Department provides speakers, tours, and event support to schools, businesses, and community groups, located within the City of Boise. To request an outreach service, fill out the form below completely and please allow at least THREE WEEKS advance notice.

Law Enforcement Speakers

Boise Police Department features knowledgeable speakers from all areas of the police department who present about many areas of public safety.  Topics inclue:

  • Personal, Home and Workplace Safety
  • Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED)
  • Self Defense Classes (min 5, max 20, women only)
  • Preventing Identity Theft, Fraud and Scam
  • Drug & Alcohol Awareness Presentations / Drug Free Idaho
  • Bike Safety Presentations

School/Classroom Visits

  • Child Safety
  • Internet Safety
  • McGruff the Crime Dog

Community Event Support  Outreach Dog

The Boise Police Department may be able to support your community event by sending one or more of the following:

  • Boise Police Department Information Booth or Table
  • Child Fingerprinting and Identification Program
  • Officer accompanied by BPD's official mascot dog, Scout (after 10am)
  • McGruff the Crime Dog
  • Bagpipes/Honor Guard

Tours

The Boise Police Department provides a limited number of facility tours to community groups by request. 
Our next department tour is: Wednesday, May 24 at 4:30pm.  Seats are limited.  Please fill out the request form below to register your group.
