Previously released Sunday, 1:12 p.m.:  Boise Police officers responded to reports of a shooting which occurred at the intersection of 27th Street and Stewart Avenue at just after 7:00 a.m. Officers quickly arrived on scene and later located a male adult with a single gunshot wound. Paramedics also arrived and transported the man to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

What Happened: Reports indicate that earlier a man was found to be burglarizing a home on the 2600 block of Regan Avenue prior to the shooting. Officers quickly set up a perimeter around the area and conducted an extensive area search, including the use of a K9 to attempt to track, but the suspect was not located. The Boise Police Violent Crimes Unit and Crime Scene technicians continue to investigate.
