Meridian man charged with lewd conduct following Boise investigation

Arrested: Nicolaus L. Erolin, 29, Meridian

Charged: Lewd Conduct with a Minor- Two Counts (F)

Boise Police officers were made aware of the possibility of two separate incidents of inappropriate conduct with a minor by an adult male, which occurred in early January or late December.  The incidents occurred at a Boise residence, and evidence indicated the male suspect met the victim on a teen dating/chatroom website prior to meeting in person.  erolinOfficers investigated and located evidence leading to the identification of Erolin as the suspect.  Detectives with the Boise Police Special Victims Unit continued to investigate the allegations and passed on their findings to the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office.  A warrant was issued for two counts of lewd conduct on January 26, and those charges were brought against Erolin, who was already in the Ada County Jail on unrelated charges.

The victim and family are receiving resources provided by the Boise Police Department Victim Services Unit.

Based on the ongoing investigation, detectives are concerned that it may be possible there are other victims.  Evidence indicates Erolin may have used the online names “Nico Suave,” “Romantyx,” and “Nico ThDancer.”  Anyone with any additional information about the suspect is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
