A Treasure Valley Veterans advocate group has an updated their guide to helpful community services available to assist veterans and their families. The goal of the guide is to better aid veterans in a healthy and successful return home.
The guide includes contact information for dozens of community resources available to help veterans and their families, including child care and clothing, housing, employment, education, transportation, medical and legal services.

The group, Joining Forces for Treasure Valley Veterans has been led by Boise Chief of Police Michael Masterson. The Chief, set to retire in 2015, has made it an important mission of the department to improve veteran's services as a way to keep veterans, their families, officers and the community safe.
