Officers arrest man after report of lewd conduct with a child; Arrest follows road rage report; BPD Weekend Watch Log

Arrested: Shawna I. Crawford, 36, Nampa

Charged:  DUI (F), driving without privileges (m)

A Boise Police officer stopped a driver on westbound Interstate 184 Saturday evening, June 28 for traveling approximately 78 mph in an area posted for 60. When speaking with the driver, officers could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage.  The driver failed field sobriety tests. A breath test results indicated a .119/.116 breath alcohol content. Checking with records, officers found the driver, Crawford had a felony DUI conviction in 2007, making this arrest also a felony. She was also driving without privileges. Officers arrested the suspect and booked her into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.

Arrested: Khurishan Dursunov, 22, Boise

Charged: Aggravated Assault (F), Possession of marijuana (m), Possession of drug paraphernalia (m), Driving without privileges (m), Warrant – Failure to Appear (m)

Officers were contacted Saturday night, June 28, at approximately 8:35 p.m. with a report of a road rage situation in the area of South Cole and West Overland Roads. Witnesses told officers a man who was known to them had tried to run them off the road, actually hitting the victim’s vehicle. Officers located the suspect vehicle a short distance away, near Roosevelt and Overland. Upon contacting the driver, Dursunov, officers found he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Officers also found damage to the suspect’s vehicle that appeared to match damage to the victim’s car. A Boise Police drug detection dog alerted to the suspect vehicle. In a search, officers found a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia inside the car. Officers arrested the suspect on the above charges and booked him into the Ada County Jail.

Arrested: Jessey J. Gilpin, Jr, 39, Weiser

Charged: Lewd Conduct with a Minor (F)

Boise Police arrested the suspect yesterday morning after investigating reports of lewd conduct with a minor child that had allegedly just occurred at a Boise home. Officer’s initial investigation indicates the lewd conduct has occurred on more than one occasion. The suspect and victim are acquainted. The investigation is continuing. The victim in this case is receiving support assistance through the Boise Police Department Victim Services Unit.

Arrested: Shannon L. Thibodeaux, 29, Boise

Charged: Controlled substance violation – Meth (F), Unlawful possession of a firearm (F)

Arrested: Jeremy L. Lewis, 32, Boise

Charged: Controlled substance violation – Meth (F), Possession of marijuana (m), Possession of drug paraphernalia (m)

A Boise officer on patrol noticed the driver of a vehicle failed to use a signal while turning on South Juanita, just south of West University Drive. The officer had to turn around the catch up to the vehicle for a traffic stop for the offense. As the officer drove up, the driver, later identified as Thibodeaux, had driven over the curb and parked on the lawn of a home on the 1500 block of S. Juanita. Three people, including the driver were getting out of the car. The driver walked to the front of the vehicle as the officer approached.  A Meridian Police drug detection dog alerted on the area where Thibodeaux was standing. Officers found a baggie with a white crystal-like substance on the grass in that location. The substance field tested positive for meth. Officers also located a handgun under the driver’s seat. Previous criminal convictions make the suspect a prohibited possessor of firearms. A passenger in the vehicle, Lewis, was found in possession of meth, marijuana and paraphernalia. The third person in car, Shawn M. Harvey, 32 of Boise was also arrested after officers found him in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The suspects were booked into the Ada County Jail.
