Double Homicide Investigation: Officers Seek Person of Interest

Boise Police are hoping to identify and locate a person of interest in connection with a double homicide investigation.

Officers believe the woman pictured may have information that could assist in the investigation. At this time, officers simply want to speak with the woman. Officers are hoping that she or someone who can identify her will contact them through Crime Stoppers: 343-COPS.

Update: Officers make Arrest, Charge Man with Murder; Overnight Double Homicide

5:35 p.m. - Boise Police have arrested one man and charged him with murder in connection with the shooting deaths of two men in an Orchard Street apartment overnight.

Arrested: Samari P. Winn, 34, Boise

Charged: Murder ISC 18-4003, 2 counts

Detectives working the case believe at least one other suspect remains at large.

A reward of up to $1,000 is offered by Crime Stoppers for information leading to the arrest of criminal suspects.

4:15 p.m. - In cooperation with the Ada County Coroner, the names of the two victims of the overnight shooting and homicide have been released.

Victim: Travontae Calloway, 27, Boise

Victim: Elliot Bailey, 28, Boise

The coroner confirms both men died as a result of gunshot wounds.

The investigation remains ongoing. Additional details will be released as the investigation allows.

9:45 a.m. - Boise Police detectives say an overnight shooting is now a double homicide. Two of the three victims have died of their injuries. No further information on the victims is available at this time due ot the ongoing investigation. Officers responded to a report of shots fired at 11:25 last night in a residence on the 2100 block of South Orchard Street.

Officers have tracked down a person of interest in the shooting. He is currently in police custody and being questioned. Investigators say at least one person involved remains outstanding.

Officers believe they have a motive for the shooting but due to the ongoing investigation, that motive is not being released at this time.

Officers say there does not appear to be an ongoing threat to the community. The incident was not random.

Additional information will be released as the investigation allows.
