Suspect returned to Ada County following shooting in Bliss; Federal parole absconder faces new charges; BPD Daily Watch Log

Arrested: Hollee R. Johnston, 39, Colorado Springs, CO

Charged: Grand Theft X3 (F), Burglary X2 (F), Malicious Injury to Property (m), Petit Theft (m)

Johnston is charged in connection to several felony crimes first reported February 1, 2014, including breaking into a vehicle parked in a lot near North Five Mile and West Overland Road and stealing items valued at more than $1000 including electronics, clothing and personal identifying information belonging to two victims. Johnston was also found to be in possession of clothing items stolen from a Boise retail store. Johnston and a second suspect in the crimes, Ronald Rice are both accused of entering Idaho driving a pick-up stolen from a Utah dealership.

Johnston was apprehended following a shooting involving officers February 2 in Bliss, Idaho with suspect Ronald Rice. Rice was returned to the Ada County Jail February 24.  Johnston was returned to Ada County to face yesterday.

Arrested: Darren S. McMullin, 30, Boise

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Marijuana (F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

On Monday, March 3, at 11:30 a.m. Boise Police assisted US Marshals and Federal Probation and Parole in contacting McMullin at a gas station located in the 9500 block of West Chinden Boulevard.  McMullin is a wanted felon who had absconded from Federal Parole.  McMullin was taken into custody without incident.  At the time of his arrest McMullin was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm, several rounds of ammunition, 38 grams of marijuana that field tested positive, a digital scale, one syringe and a cigar "blunt" that smelled like burnt marijuana.  McMullin was booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.  The US Marshal's Office is investigating the possession of the firearm.
