Boise Police crash reconstruction experts are piecing together what happened to cause a crash that left a motorcyclist with life threatening injuries.
What Happened: Officers were called to the intersection of West Overland Road and South Biggs Street at 11:51 a.m. The motorcyclist, a Boise man in his 30's, was traveling west on Overland. The driver of an SUV, a Boise woman also in her 30's, was traveling east on Overland and turning north onto Biggs. The vehicles collided in the intersection.
Boise Firefighters and Ada County EMS also responded and transported the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital with what have been described as life-threatening injuries.
The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, although officers found a helmet strapped to the back of the motorcycle.
At this time, what factors played a role in causing the crash remain under investigation.
