Arrests for Delivery & Possession of Heroin, Meth; Crash leads to felony DUI; BPD Weekend Watch Log

Arrested: Alisia N. Bradford, 19, Boise

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance – Heroin (F), Possession of Marijuana (m)

Arrested: Matthew S. Corson, 24, Boise

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Marijuana (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine (F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

Arrested: John W. Wagnon, 37, Transient

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Heroin (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine (F), Warrant – Failure to Appear (F)

Boise Police officers were dispatched to a hotel in the 8000 block of West Overland Road on Friday, February 28 at around 11:00 p.m. to check for a wanted subject.  A witness reported that Wagnon was at the hotel, and identified the room he was staying in, also indicating that drugs were being sold from the room and that guns had been seen in the room.  Boise Police patrol officers, K9, and narcotics detectives responded to the area. An officer spotted a car driving away with a broken tail light. A traffic stop was made and Wagnon was found to be the passenger in the car. Wagnon and was found to be in possession of nine baggies of heroin (2 grams total package weight), and methamphetamine (1 gram total package weight). Both substances field tested positive.

Officers then observed Corson leave the room.  Evidence obtained during the contact with Corson led officer’s to discover that he was in possession of four baggies of marijuana (30.5 grams total package weight), methamphetamine (1 gram total package weight), as well as used and new hypodermic needles, a smoking straw, empty plastic baggies, and a digital scale.  Both substances field tested positive.

Officers ultimately made contact by phone with two females and a male who were still in the room.  All three came out when asked.  One of the females, Bradford, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine (4.4 grams total package weight), heroin (4 grams total package weight), and marijuana (7.8 grams total package weight).  All substances field tested positive.

Wagnon, Corson, and Bradford were arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

Arrested: Ashley M. Myers, 27, Boise

Charged: DUI (F)

Boise Police officers were dispatched to the scene of a crash on Saturday, March 1, at 6:03 p.m. near the intersection of South Cole Road and West Brentwood Drive.  The crash involved minor property damage to two vehicles. Upon arrival the officers made contact with Myers, the driver of one of the vehicles, who showed signs and symptoms of intoxication and failed three offered field sobriety tests. Myers provided breath samples of .199/.208. Myers has two previous DUI convictions within ten years making this a felony.  Myers was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail.

Arrested: Sterling G. Brand, 52, McCall

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine (F)

A Boise Police officer on routine patrol near the area of South Entertainment Avenue and West Overland Road on Friday, February 28, at 12:26 a.m. stopped a vehicle being driven by Brand for failing to signal properly.  A Boise Police K9 alerted on the vehicle and a subsequent search found Brand to be in possession of a methamphetamine pipe, coated with methamphetamine residue.  Brand was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charge.

Arrested: John K. Cole, 48, Transient

Charged: Failure to Update Registration Information – Sex Offender (F), Providing False information to Police (m)

A Boise Police officer on patrol contacted Cole underneath the overpass of Interstate184 near West Fairview Avenue and North Garden Street on Saturday, March 1, at 3:03 a.m.  Cole provided the officer with false identifying information, delaying his correct identification and status as a registered sex offender.  Cole eventually correctly identified himself.  Additional evidence obtained during the course of the contact revealed that Cole moved out of his registered address two weeks ago and hasn’t registered a new address, and that he was aware that he needs to update his address within two days of moving.  Cole was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail for the above charges.

Arrested: Sithanonxay Insyxiengmay, 36, Boise

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Methamphetamine (F), Injury to Child (F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

Boise Police officers were dispatched to the area of West Ottawa Drive and South Maple Grove Road on Friday, February 28, at 2:35 p.m. for a report of a fight.  Upon arrival officers made contact with Insyxiengmay, who was getting in to a suspect vehicle.  During the course of the investigation, with the help of a Boise Police K9 unit, officers found Insyxiengmay to be in possession of 12 grams of methamphetamine (total package weight), several unused baggies, and an electronic scale.  Evidence obtained during the investigation indicated that Insyxiengmay had used methamphetamine before picking up his three year old child and placing him in the back seat.  Insyxiengmay was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.

Arrested: Benjamin J. L. Ivers, 31, Meridian

Charged: Warrant – Aggravated Battery (F)

Boise Police Officers were originally dispatched to a report of a battery that had just occurred outside a bar located in the 1000 block of West Main Street on Sunday, July 21 at 2:43 a.m.  Witnesses reported that an unknown male, later identified as Ivers, had punched a male victim unprovoked, breaking his jaw requiring that it later be wired shut.  Boise Police detectives were assigned the case and were able to identify and make contact with Ivers.  The completed report was routed to the Ada County Prosecutors office and a warrant was issued.  On Saturday, March 1, at about 12:02 a.m., Boise Police patrol officers responded to Ivers work and arrested him on the warrant.  Ivers was booked into the Ada County Jail.

Arrested: Jeremy M. McFadden, 26, Boise

Charged: Warrant – Probation Violation (F)

Boise Police officers were dispatched to conduct a warrant check for McFadden in the area of North Larch Street and West Bond Street on Thursday, February 27, at 10:19 p.m.  Once in the area the officers located McFadden, who was the passenger in a vehicle that pulled up to the address they were checking.  McFadden was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail.

Arrested: Hailey Rae Smith, 27, Boise

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine (F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

Boise Police officers on routine patrol stopped a vehicle with cancelled registration in the area of West
Fairview Avenue and North Allumbaugh Street on Saturday, March 1, at 9:48 p.m.  The officers made contact with the female driver, identified as Smith, and a male passenger.  Both occupants of the vehicle were acting very nervous. With the help of a Boise Police K9, officers were able to discover that Smith was in possession of two baggies of methamphetamine (the contents of the baggies field tested positive), syringes and Q-Tips (used for filtering the methamphetamine prior to injecting it with a syringe).  Smith was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail.

Arrested: Jarred Richard Smith, 29, Boise

Charged: Warrant – Parole Violation (F)

Boise Police officers on routine patrol in the 5500 block of West Fairview Avenue observed Smith sitting behind a closed business on Thursday, February 27, at 9:36 p.m.  A routine records check through dispatch revealed that Smith had a warrant for his arrest.  Smith was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail.

Arrested: Adam T. Yoakum, 28, Boise

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine (F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

 Boise Police officers were dispatched to conduct a welfare check at a hotel in the 8000 block of West Overland Road on Thursday, February 27, at 2:51 p.m.  Upon arrival officers met with Yoakum, who was in the hotel room with his two small children.  Evidence uncovered during the course of the contact revealed that Yoakum was in possession of methamphetamine (1.5 grams total package weight), a glass methamphetamine pipe with burnt residue inside, and two snort tubes with residue inside.  The methamphetamine field tested positive. Officer arranged for the children to be placed in safe custody. Yoakum was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail without incident.
