Arrest for Sexual Exploitation of a Child; Disturbance at a store leads to meth arrest; BPD Weekend Watch Log

Arrested: Gordon L. Clark, 66, Boise

Charged: Sexual Exploitation of a Child - 5 counts (F)

Boise Police officers were dispatched to a call about child pornography on a computer at a home near Kootenai Street and South Vista Avenue on Thursday, December 26, at 2:45 p.m.  After a thorough investigation by detectives with Boise Police Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, Clark was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.

           Boise Police are a partner with the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, a statewide coalition of local, state and federal law enforcement and prosecution agencies focused on apprehending and prosecuting individuals who use the Internet to criminally exploit children.

            Internet crimes against children are primarily crimes of sexual exploitation of children. These crimes include distribution of child pornography and using the Internet to target children for sexual abuse. The Idaho ICAC Task Force is committed to protecting Idaho's children through community education and by identifying, arresting and prosecuting those who commit these crimes.

­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­ Arrested: Madeleine A. Cornwall, 19, Eagle

Charged: Burglary (F), Forgery (F), Grand Theft (F)

Boise Police officers were dispatched to a small business on the 3900 block of West State Street on Tuesday, February 4, at 2:56 p.m. for a report of thefts that had occurred.  A witness reported that Cornwall, who was an employee of the business, had entered the business on Saturday, February 1, and taken cash from a petty cash bag.  The business was closed at the time.  The witness looked more closely at Cornwall’s transactions and found where Cornwall made unauthorized withdrawals from the company’s bank account on multiple occasions.  Evidence uncovered during the course of the investigation revealed that Cornwall had entered the business with the intent to steal the petty cash, making the charge a felony burglary charge.  Evidence also indicated that Cornwall forged several checks, stealing over $1,000 total, resulting in the two additional felony charges.  Cornwall was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.

Arrested: Ismiel E. Meeds, 22, Nampa

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine (F), Resisting and Obstructing an Officer (m)

Employees at a convenience store in the 7300 block of West Ustick Road on Saturday, February 8, at 10:43 p.m. called Boise Police to assist with a subject who was refusing to leave the store. Officers made contact with the subject, Meeds, who disobeyed lawful orders from the officers.  Meeds was arrested for resisting and obstructing the officers.  Upon search incident to arrest Meeds was found to be in possession of one gram of a white crystalline substance, which field tested positive for methamphetamine.  Meeds was booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.

Arrested: Larry K. Moss, 33, Carolina Beach. NC

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine (F)

Boise Police officers were contacted by Moss for assistance this morning at 1:30 a.m. at a hotel near Elder Street and South Vista Avenue.  Upon contacting Moss, officers observed signs and symptoms that Moss was under to influence of a controlled substance.  Evidence obtained during the subsequent investigation revealed that Moss was in possession of a baggy containing a white crystalline residue, which field tested positive for amphetamine.  Moss was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charge.

Arrested: Eric C. Nasker, 31, Boise

Charged: Grand Theft (F), Failure to Obey – Warrant (m), Probation Violation – Warrant (m)

Boise Police officers were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of East Front Street on Saturday, February 8, at 10:48 a.m. to check for a subject with warrants.  After locating and arresting Nasker, officers located a debit card in Nasker’s possession that did not belong to him.  Upon contacting the owner of the card, it was discovered that Nasker had taken the card without the owner’s permission.  The suspect and victim are acquainted. Nasker was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.

Idaho Code 18-2407 (1) (b) (3) – Grading of Theft definitions for Grand Theft (a felony): “A person is guilty of grand theft when…the property consists of a check, draft or order for the payment of money upon any bank, or a check, draft or order account number, or a financial transaction card or financial transaction card account number as those terms are defined in section 18-3122, Idaho Code”

Arrested: Michael A. O’Hanlon, 21, Nampa

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Marijuana (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance – Morphine (F)

A Boise Police officer on routine patrol near West Emerald Street and North Milwaukee Street on Friday, February 7, at 5:21 a.m. stopped O’Hanlon for failing to signal a lane change.  Upon contact with O’Hanlon the officer could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and observed drug paraphernalia sitting in plain view.  Evidence uncovered during the subsequent investigation uncovered five baggies of marijuana packaged for individual sale and a baggie containing six suspected morphine pills.  The marijuana field tested positive.  The morphine pills were sent to the Idaho State Lab for positive identification.  O’Hanlon was arrested for the above charges and booked into the Ada County Jail.

Arrested: Mary M. Blanton, 40, Boise

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine (F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

A Boise Police officer on routine patrol made contact with Blanton near North Orchard Street and West Kendall Street on Sunday, February 9, at 4:12 p.m.  Evidence obtained during the contact found Blanton to be in possession of two methamphetamine pipes.  White powdery residue inside the pipes field tested positive for methamphetamine.  Blanton was booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.

Arrested: Sabra L. Carrillo (aka – Carillo), 29, Boise

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine (F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

Arrested: Andrew J. Munkel, 25, Boise

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine (F), Warrant (F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

A Boise Police officer of routine patrol stopped a vehicle near West Fairview Avenue and North Westgate Drive on Saturday, February 8, at 2:49 a.m. for driving without headlights after dark.  Munkel, the driver, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.  Upon search incident to arrest officers found Munkel and Carrillo to be in possession of a digital scale with white powdery residue on it.  The residue field tested positive for methamphetamine.  Munkel and Carrillo were booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.

Arrested: Chanylle J. Riggs, 30, Boise

Charged: Burglary (F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

Boise Police officers were called to a store in the 1500 block of West State Street on Friday, February 7, at 8:30 p.m. for a report of a theft.  Witnesses at the store reported that Riggs concealed a cell phone and walked to the door attempting to leave when she was confronted by store staff.  Evidence uncovered during the investigation revealed that Riggs entered the store with the intent to steal the phone, making this a felony charge.  During the investigation Riggs was also found to be in possession of a glass pipe used for smoking methamphetamine.  Riggs was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.

 

Arrested: Jennie L. Timmons, 36, Boise

Charged: Burglary (F)

Boise Police officers were dispatched to a store in the 8300 block of West Overland Road on Thursday, February 6, at 5:08 p.m. for a report of a theft.  A witness at the store reported that Timmons had attempted to leave the store with several items concealed making no effort to pay for them.  After being contacted by store personnel Timmons went to her car to retrieve her wallet, then went through the self-checkout, again failing to pay for several of the items before attempting to leave the store again.  Evidence uncovered during the investigation revealed that Timmons entered the store with the intent to commit the thefts, making this a felony charge.  Timmons was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charge.
