Three calls of suspicious activity and a car crash all involve prescription meds & meth; BPD Daily Incident Report

Arrested: Jeremiah K. Beekman, 24, Transient

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Schedule II Drug (F), Possession of a prescription outside the container - 2 counts (m), Possession of marijuana (m), Possession of drug paraphernalia (m), Agents warrant (F)

Boise Police officers on patrol last night in the area of Federal Way and South Findley Avenue received a call from a citizen concerned about potentially suspicious activity happening in a car parked in a large parking lot. Officers arrived and found the driver, identified as Beekman on felony probation with a 4th amendment waiver rregarding searches. A Boise Police drug detection K9, Jackson alerted on the vehicle. In a search, officers found several dozen pills identified as Hydrocodone, Oxycodone and other controlled substances. Officers also located approximately four grams of marijuana and a piece of burnt foil with a burnt pill consistent with someone burning the pill to smoke it. Beekman's Probation and Parole Officer met officers at the Ada County Jail and issued a felony agents warrant on the suspect, who was booked into the jail on the above charges.

Arrested: Kimberly Jean Chambless, 54, Boise

Charged : DUI (F)

Boise officers responded to a crash at the corner of South Curtis Road and West Overland Road shortly before midnight last night. When they arrived, they found a car had crashed into a power pole knocking it down and then struck a tree. The driver was identified as Chambless. In speaking with her, officers noticed she had very rapid speech, lost focus and showed other signs of impairment. She failed field sobriety tests. With the assistance of an Idaho State Police Drug Recognition Officer, evidence indicated the driver was likely under the influence of a combination of prescription meds and methamphetamine. The suspect has two prior DUI convictions from May, 2006 and October, 2013.

Arrested: Alfred T. Sutton, 19, Boise

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance - Meth (F), Under the influence of a controlled substance (m), Possession of drug paraphernalia (m)

Boise Police were called by employees at a fast food restaurant on the 9800 block of West Fairview Avenue early this morning after an employee found the suspect sleeping in a booth and was unable to wake him. Concerned, the employees called police. After numerous attempts, officers were able to get the suspect up and walked him outside, but his speech was uneven and he showed other physical signs of being under the influence. The suspect gave officers consent to search his backpack. Inside, officers found two glass smoking devices and a substance identified as approximately one gram of methamphetamine. Sutton was booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.
