Officers Investigating Overnight ATM Thefts

Boise, Nov. 19, 2013 - Boise Police are investigating the theft of one ATM machine and the attempted theft of a second machone overnight.

What Happened: Boise Police received an alarm from a credit union on the 10900 block of West Fairview Avenue at 1:55 this morning. Responding officers arrived on scene to find evidence that someone had tampered with an ATM machine. Officers found obvious damage to the machines control panel. Aside from the damage, nothing appears stolen.

At 2:42 a.m. Boise Police recieved another alarm from a business on South Latah Street near West Alpine. When officers arrived, they found an ATM machine had been stolen. A witness was able to provide officers with the description of a vehicle possibly connected to the crime, a pickup truck seen driving away at a high rate of speed.
