Suspect transferred from Canyon County to face Warrant charges for Sexual Battery of a Minor; Daily incident report

Warrant Arrested: Joseph E. Marquez, 24, Boise

Warrant Charges:  Sexual Battery of a Minor (F)

The suspect was transferred to Ada County from the Canyon County Jail yesterday to face charges on an outstanding felony warrant for Sexual Battery of a Minor.

The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into illegal sexual conduct that took place in August of this year.  Evidence indicates the suspect committed the illegal acts at a Boise home on more than one occasion. The activity was reported to police by a third party in August and the investigation began. The victim and the suspect in this case are known to each other. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant. Further inquiries into this case should be directed to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's office.
