Alleged threat with a knife ends in aggravated assault charge; Daily incident report

Arrested: Kenneth R. Vivier, 51, Boise

   Charges: Aggravated Assault (F)

   Warrant Charges: Probation violation (m)

Boise Police responded to a report of an aggravated assault in the area of 16th and Front Street early this morning, October 11th, at approximately 12:15 a.m. The victim tells police he was in Rhodes park when he became involved in a personal dispute with the suspect. The suspect and the victim are well known to each other. At one point, the victim tells police the suspect produced a knife and threatened him with it. Officers located the suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, still in the park. A check through Boise City Records indicated the suspect had a warrant for his arrest on probation violation charges. Officers recovered a knife from the suspect's person. After a detailed investigation into the incident, the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges. No one was injured during this incident.

TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 9 ASSAULT AND BATTERY 18-905. Aggravated assault defined. An aggravated assault is an assault:(a)With a deadly weapon or instrument without intent to kill; or(b)By any means or force likely to produce great bodily harm.

Warrant Arrested: Mariah M. Morrow, 20, Boise

   Warrant Charges: Grand Theft (F)

The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Grand Theft yesterday.

The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the use of a financial transaction card to make several purchases and withdrawals on an account with negative balances. Evidence indicates the suspect made more than $1,000.00 dollars in purchases and withdrawals starting in May of this year.  That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
