Alleged aggravated assault and burglar caught in the act top arrests; Weekend incident report

   Arrested: Byron L. De Groot, 47, Boise

   Charges: 2 counts of Aggravated Assault (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of shots fired outside a residence near Overland Road and Latah Street Friday evening, October 11th, at approximately 7:30 p.m. Officers quickly secured the scene for safety and began a detailed investigation. According to two victims, who are well known to the suspect, they became involved in an ongoing dispute outside the suspect's residence. At one point, the victims tell police the suspect came out of the home and threatened the victims with a knife. According to the victims, the suspect then went back into the house and returned with a handgun. The victims tell police the suspect pointed the handgun at both of them, before firing a shot into the ground. Officers located the suspect near the home and later retrieved a handgun from the suspect's property. No one was injured in this incident. After a detailed investigation, the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 9 ASSAULT AND BATTERY 18-905. Aggravated assault defined. An aggravated assault is an assault: (a)With a deadly weapon or instrument without intent to kill; or (b)By any means or force likely to produce great bodily harm.

    Arrested: Kristine M. Dunnigan, 43, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F), Possession of Burglary Tools (m), Resisting and Obstructing (m)

    Boise Police responded to an alarm at a medical facility on the 800 block of North Liberty Street Saturday evening, October 12th, at approximately 10:00 p.m. Officers observed the suspect as she exited a back door of the building and ordered her to stop several times. The suspect ignored officers commands and attempted to run away. After a short foot pursuit officers caught the suspect and she was taken into custody. During the course of the investigation, officers obtained evidence that indicates the suspect entered the building through a window and attempted to gain entry to a safe. Officers recovered syringes taken from the business along with several tools used in the crime. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 14 BURGLARY 18-1401. Burglary defined. Every person who enters any house, room, apartment, tenement, shop, warehouse, store, mill, barn, stable, outhouse, or other building, tent, vessel, vehicle, trailer, airplane or railroad car, with intent to commit any theft or any felony, is guilty of burglary.

    Arrested: James R. Schultz, 47, Boise

    Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Prescription Medication Xanex)(m), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

    Warrant Charges: Burglary (F)

    Arrested: Kandi N. Davidson, 34, Boise

    Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Prescription Medications)(m), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

   Boise Police conducted a traffic stop on the suspect's vehicle near West Overland Road and South Roosevelt Street yesterday, October 13th, at approximately 5:30 p.m. Officers arrested the driver, James Schultz, on an outstanding Felony warrant for Burglary. A search of the suspect's vehicle revealed a small amount of meth, prescription Xanex tablets, and drug paraphernalia. The suspects were booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

   The arrest warrant for James Schultz stems from an ongoing investigation into the theft of electronics from a Boise residence in June of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect was involved in entering the victim's home and taking the items without permission. After a detailed investigation into the crime detectives recovered some of the stolen items. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

    Arrested: John Michael A. Hild, 36, Boise

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (Excessive B.A.C.)(DUI)(F), Probation Violation Charges (F)

   Boise Police observed a vehicle driving at night without lights and conducted a traffic stop near South Federal Way and South Findley Avenue early this morning, October 14th, at approximately 1:00 a.m. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .22/.23. A check through Boise City Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI, making this charge his 2nd enhanced DUI charge in the past 5 years. After a detailed investigation the suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Aylwar R. Suta, 46, Boise

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (Excessive B.A.C.)(DUI)(F), Driving without Privileges (m), Probation violation (m)

   Boise Police observed a vehicle failing to maintain its lane and conduct an illegal lane change before making a traffic stop near West Overland Road and South Roosevelt Street early Sunday morning, October 13th, at approximately 2:30 a.m. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .29/.29. A check through Boise City Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI, making this charge a felony. The suspect's drivers license was currently suspended. After a detailed investigation the suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Nicholas C. Sims, 22, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a restaurant on the 6400 block of South Federal Way Saturday, October 12th, at approximately 12:00 noon. Store employees tell police that the suspect, who is known to them, ordered food at the establishment and left with the items without paying for them. Officers located the suspect a short time later and conducted a detailed investigation into the incident. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. A search of the suspect's person after his arrest revealed approximately .7 grams total package weight of meth. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   Warrant Arrested: Manon N. Zechmann, 38, Star

   Warrant Charges:  Burglary (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Burglary yesterday.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into fraudulent activity at a Boise merchant in April of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect entered a retail store on the 1200 block of North Milwaukee Street and selected items before returning them to the store to obtain a gift card. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
