Arrested: Amber N. Giovacchini, 27, Boise
Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)
Boise Police on patrol last night, September 25th, at approximately 9:00 p.m. observed a vehicle speeding on the Westbound I-84 Connector between the Cole Road and Victory Road exits. Officers witnessed the suspect vehicle fail to signal as it exited onto Cole Road and fail to make another turn shortly after. As officers contacted the driver, a Boise Police K-9 named "Kamo" alerted on the vehicle, indicating the likely presence of drugs. As the officer opened the door to allow the K-9 access to the vehicle, a baggie containing approximately 1.6 grams total package weight of meth fell onto the ground. A search of the vehicle revealed a glass pipe used to ingest narcotics. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
Warrant Charged: Lyndel Waters Jr., Berkley CA.
Warrant Charges: Forgery (F)
The suspect was transferred from an Oregon Facility where he was already in custody yesterday, September 25th, to face charges on a felony warrant for Forgery in Ada County.
The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the possession of altered credit cards located during a search of the suspect's belongings on June 24th of 2010. On that date security officials at the Boise Airport located the several credit cards that had been altered. The suspect had already departed the airport. Evidence indicates the suspect was the owner of the items. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
