Arrested: Jedediah C. Fronton, 31, Boise
Charges: Burglary (F) 3 counts of Grand Theft (F)
Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 1300 block of West Main yesterday, September 10th, at approximately 2:30 p.m. Employees at the store tell police the suspect took a mountain bike, valued at more than $3,000.00, for a test ride and never returned with the bike. Using information obtained through the course of the investigation, officers obtained a search warrant for the suspect's residence on the 3000 block of West Pleasanton Avenue yesterday afternoon. A search of the residence revealed evidence that indicates the suspect had been involved in two more bicycle thefts using a similar method from a second retail store earlier this month, resulting in the additional grand theft charges. Evidence indicates the suspect sold the bikes to obtain cash. After a detailed investigation the suspect was taken into custody at the home and transported to the Ada County Jail where he was booked on the above listed charges.
Warrant Arrested: Stephanie Alba-Reed, 20, Meridian
Warrant Charges: Grand Theft of a Financial Transaction Card (F)
The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Grand Theft yesterday.
The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the fraudulent use of credit cards at local stores in June of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect used credit cards that belonged to the victim to make purchases at stores on more than one occasion. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
