Officers Search for Robbery Suspect, 2nd & Bannock

Boise, August 20, 2013 - Boise Police are searching for a man who robbed a pharmacy this afternoon. The man was reportedly armed with a handgun and demanded prescription painkillers, drugs with a high potential for abuse.

PRELIMINARY: Officers are on scene, searching and just starting their investigation.

At this time, prelimiary reports describe the suspect as a light skinned male, 30 - 35 years old with a black goatee, wearing sunglasses, a denim blue button down shirt and blue jeans and possibly a beige beret-type cap.

What Happened: Officers were called at 1:22 by employees at the pharmacy at N. 2nd and W. Bannock Street. Preliminary reports say the suspect walked in, displayed a handgun and demanded narcotics.

He was last seen running from the area, possibly headed east on West Idaho Street.
