BPD K-9's keen sense of smell lands two in jail on drug charges; Daily incident report

    Arrested: Kyle J. Todd, 25, Boise

    Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

   Boise Police on patrol early this morning, August 9th, at approximately 2:33 a.m. observed a vehicle cross the center lane into the oncoming lane on two occasions as it travelled southbound on Broadway Avenue near Targee. As officers contacted the driver, Kaitlynn Harvey, a Boise Police K-9 named "Turk" alerted on the vehicle indicating the likely presence of drugs. A search of the vehicle revealed a small amount of meth, pipe and other items of drug paraphernalia. After a detailed investigation both suspects were booked into the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Frederick L. Adolphsen, 19, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F), Minor Consumption of Alcohol (m)

    A Boise Police officer on patrol witnessed the suspect laying part way out of a car on the 1100 block of North 8th early this morning, August 9th, at approximately 1:00 a.m. The officer contacted the suspect and determined the owner did not know him. During the course of the investigation the officer obtained evidence that indicates the suspect intended to enter the vehicle to steal property. Officers determined that the suspect, who is under the age of 21, had been drinking alcohol resulting in the Minor Consumption charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
