Prescription drug sales land suspect in jail on Felony charges; Daily incident report

   Arrested: Carly R. Edwards, 22, Boise

   Charges: Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Prescription Medications)(F)

    Boise Police Narcotics Detectives arrested Carly Edwards yesterday as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale of prescription drugs. Detectives have evidence that indicates the suspect sold approximately 9 Percocet pills in October of last year. The prescription pills are valued at approximately $80.00. 

About BANDIT: The Boise Police BANDIT Task Force investigates illegal drug sales and trafficking, as well as gambling and prostitution. Detectives with B.A.N.D.I.T. (Boise Area Narcotics and Drug Interdiction Task Force), are commissioned to protect the community from illegal activity.

  Arrested: Sydney K. Smith, 19, Boise

  Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Agents Warrant/Parole Violation (F)

   Boise Police assisted Idaho Probation and Parole agents on the search of a residence on the 1000 block of South Leadville Avenue last night, July 19th, at approximately 11:00 p.m. Officers located items of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of meth. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Xaviar R. Trautwien, 39, Garden City

 Charges: 2 counts of Burglary (F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a business on the 300 block of East Front Street on July 16th of this year. Employees tell police several items had been stolen from the business overnight. During the course of the investigation, officers determined the suspect, who had access to the facility through his job, had stolen several items from the facilities employees and the company. The items stolen include electronics, tools, loose change and other items. Yesterday, July 18th, officers conducted a search of the suspect's residence and recovered several of the stolen items from his home. After a detailed investigation, the suspect was taken into custody and booked at the Ada County jail on the above listed charges. Further charges may be pending.

   Warrant Arrested: Scott E. Burgess, 40, Boise

   Warrant Charges: Malicious Injury to Property (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Malicious Injury to Property early this morning.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into an incident that took place on March 4th of this year. On that date, evidence indicates the suspect was involved in a confrontation with the victim. During the incident, the victim tells police the suspect kicked his car bumper causing damage. The cost of repair to the victim's vehicle is estimated at more than $1,000.00. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

   Arrested: Kelsey L. King, 21, Clatskanie, OR.

   Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Prescription medications)(F) Petit Theft (F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 400 of North Milwaukee Street yesterday, July 18th, at approximately 5:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect conceal several clothing items and then leave the store without paying for them. The suspect was detained until officers arrived. A search of the suspect's person revealed prescription Oxycodone pills that were not prescribed to her. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   The Boise Police Department has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the program is to work with retailers and the Boise business community to reduce retail theft and fraud, crimes that have significant impacts on consumer prices.
