Convenience store burglary; Daily incident report

   Arrested: Joseph A. Luna, 27, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a Burglary at a convenience store on the 1000 block of North Curtis Road last night, July 11th, at approximately 7:30 p.m. Employees tell police the suspect selected an alcoholic beverage and concealed it in his pants before leaving the store without paying for it. Officers located the suspect, who appeared to be intoxicated at the time, in the immediate area of the store. After a detailed investigation the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   The Boise Police Department has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the program is to work with retailers and the Boise business community to reduce retail theft and fraud, crimes that have significant impacts on consumer prices.

TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 14 BURGLARY 18-1401. Burglary defined. Every person who enters any house, room, apartment, tenement, shop, warehouse, store, mill, barn, stable, outhouse, or other building, tent, vessel, vehicle, trailer, airplane or railroad car, with intent to commit any theft or any felony, is guilty of burglary.
