Arrested: Joshua T. Campbell, 32, Boise

Charged: DUI (F)

Boise Police officers on patrol at 3:06 this morning responded to a citizens 911 call. The citizen reported hearing tires screetching and a loud noise they believed was a car crash that had just occurred near West Fairview Avenue and Fowler Street. Officers arrived to find a pick-up truck had just driven over some landscaping and appeared to be stuck in the shrubs with a flat tire. The driver,  identified as Campbell was sitting next to the truck. As officers spoke with him, they noticed his speech was slurred. Officers checked with Boise Police Records and found Campbell was currently on probation with a suspended license from a felony DUI conviction in April of 2011. Campbell failed field sobriety tests and provided a breath sample of .164/.181. Officers arrested the driver and booked him into the Ada County Jail on the above charge.

UPDATE to Weekend Incident Report:

Arrested: Lyndsi L. Peterson, 22, Boise

Charged: DUI(m) 4:38 p.m., June 22, DUI(m) 4:31p.m., June 23

June 22: Boise Police officers on patrol on the 8100 block of Fairview Avenue Saturday afternoon were flagged down by a citizen concerned about a woman sitting in a car in the parking lot of the retail center. The citizen told officers he had seen the woman stumbling as she left one of the nearby stores and made her way to her car. Officers found the woman still sitting in the driver's seat of the car with the engine running. As they tried to speak with the woman, identified as Peterson, officers noticed she moved very slowly, her speech was slurred and she appeared to have a hard time understanding what the officers were asking of her. Officers had the woman turn the car off and step out of the car. She failed standard field sobriety tests.

An officer from the Meridian Police Department who is a Drug Recognition Expert was called to assist with an evaluation of the woman. DRE officers are trained to determine whether the drivers impairment may be due to a medical condition or the result of drugs, including illegal drugs or legal drugs used in an illegal manner. The DRE evaluation along with other evidence officers obtained on scene led officers to believe the woman was under the influence of a narcotic commonly prescribed as a pain killer. Officers arrested the woman on the misdemeanor DUI charge and she was booked into the Ada County Jail.

June 23: Boise Police responded to a citizens 911 call of a driver reportedly "all over the road" who had hit a curb and driven up on the sidewalk near the intersection of West Fairview Avenue and North Milwaukee Street. Officers soon found the suspect vehicle parked in the lot of a business at the intersection. Officers found the driver, identified as Peterson, sitting in the car with the engine running. The vehicle had a flat right front tire. The driver failed field sobriety tests, was arrested on a DUI charge and transported to the Ada County Jail. An officer from the Meridian Police Department who is a Drug Recognition Expert was called to assist with an evaluation of the woman. The investigation led officers to believe the woman was under the influence of a depressant. She was booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.
