Burglary arrest leads to drug charge; Daily incident report

Arrested: Cary C. Nill, 46, Boise

Charges: Burglary (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F)

Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 1500 block of West State Street yesterday, June 4th, at approximately 8:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect conceal several items and then leave the store without paying for them. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. A search of the suspect's person after his arrest revealed a plastic baggie containing a small amount of meth. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

The Boise Police Department has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the program is to work with retailers and the Boise business community to reduce retail theft and fraud, crimes that have significant impacts on consumer prices.
