Boise Police were alerted by Boise Firefighters to the presence of what appeared to be large amounts of marijuana inside an apartment where firefighters were extinguishing a fire in a bedroom closet Saturday, May 25. Officers obtained a search warrant for the property on the 2200 block of S. Amy Ave. Inside, officers located several containers of Marijuana with a total of 369 grams (approx. 3/4 pound) packaged weight. Evidence also led officers to believe two residents of the apartment, Geisler and Rayner were in possession of the marijuana. Officers also located a container of psilocybin mushrooms. Geisler and Rayner were arrested on the drug charges. A third roommate, Ryan C. Peplow, 21, was also cited on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Idaho State Code 37-2732(e) If any person is found to possess marijuana, which for the purposes of this subsection shall be restricted to all parts of the plants of the genus Cannabis, including the extract or any preparation of cannabis which contains tetrahydrocannabinol, in an amount greater than three (3) ounces net weight, it shall be a felony and upon conviction may be imprisoned for not more than five (5) years, or fined not more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or both.

Boise Police were called by employees of a retail store on the 8300 block of W. Overland Rd Sunday, May 26 for a reported shoplifter. Store employees told officers they witnessed the suspect conceal cans of beer then leave the store without paying for them. Officers found evidence the suspect had entered the store with the intention of committing the crime, making it a felony. He was booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charge.

Boise Police were called by employees of a retail store on the 1500 block of W. State St Froday, May 24 at 1:22 p.m. reported a theft that had just occurred. Officers heading to the area located a woman matching the suspect description walking in the alley just north of Hays and 13th Streets. As the officer got out of his patrol car to speak with the woman, she began to run off, but the officer quickly caught up to her. Officers were able to confirm she was the suspect in the theft that had just occurred from the store. One witness also told officers that they had been struck several times by the suspect during the crime. The suspect was also found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest reference a failure to appear. Officers arrested and booked the suspect into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.
