Threats with a knife and prostitution charges; Daily incident report

   Arrested: Zachary W. Beck, 27, Boise

   Charges: Aggravated Assault (F)

    Boise Police responded to an assault in a parking lot on the 5700 block of West Overland Road early this morning, April 3rd, at approximately 2:30 a.m. Three adult male victims tell police they were in a vehicle in the parking lot about to depart when they heard a noise from the rear of the car. The suspect then appeared at the driver's side door of the vehicle and verbally threatened to stab all three men with a knife. The victims tell police they did not know the suspect. Officers located the suspect a short time later in the immediate area and recovered a knife. Officers believe alcohol may have been a factor in this incident. After a detailed investigation, the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Antonio M. Jones, 32, Oakland CA.

   Charges: Procurement of Prostitution (F), Receiving the funds of a Prostitute (F), Prostitution, Interstate Trafficking (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(m), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Prescription Medications)(m), Providing False Information (m)

    Boise Police NCO's contacted the suspect, as part of an ongoing investigation into illegal activity, in a parking lot on the 1800 block of West Fairview Avenue yesterday, April 2nd, at approximately 6:00 p.m. Officers who approached the vehicle noted the distinct odor of burnt marijuana coming from the car. A search of the vehicle revealed a small amount of marijuana and a Cialis pill that did not have the proper container or documentation. The suspect provided officers with false identifying information. During the course of the investigation, officers obtained evidence that the suspect had been involved in the transport and organization of prostitution across state lines into Idaho. Evidence indicates the suspect also received funds obtain from the illegal activities taking place in Boise over the last four days. After a detailed investigation into the illegal activities, the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

Officers identified the following individuals staying at a hotel near the parking lot who were involved in the illegal activities and the following citations were issued.

   Citation issued: Albert E. Garner, 31, Sacramento CA.

   Citation Charges: Possession of Marijuana (m), Prostitution (m)

   Citation issued: Christie M. Norwood, 33, Los Angeles CA.

   Citation Charges: Possession of Marijuana (m). Prostitution (m)

   Citation issued: Mariah N. Edwards, 20, Citrus Heights CA.

   Citation Charges: Prostitution (m)

   Arrested: Lorenzo P. Garcia, 40, No Known Address

   Charges: Burglary (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a problem subject at a hotel on the 7300 block of West Denton yesterday, April 2nd, at approximately 5:00 a.m.  Employees tell police the suspect provided false information to obtain a room at no charge for the night. As employees attempted to verify the information, they determined the suspect had lied to them. Officers conducted a detailed investigation before the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Matthew E. Pankau, 28, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F)

    Boise Police arrested the suspect yesterday at a Boise residence as part of an ongoing investigation into the theft of merchandise from a retail store on April 1st of this year. On that date, employees of a retail store tell police the suspect stole merchandise from the store and fled when confronted by employees. Officers determined the identity of the suspect and located him yesterday in Boise. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
