Trafficking, Grand Theft and Felony DUI Arrests; Daily incident report

    Warrant Arrested: Mathieu L. Easter, 35, Boise

    Warrant Charges: Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (marijuana)(F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance yesterday.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the possession of a package containing approximately 2 pounds total package weight of marijuana on March 11th of this year. Boise Neighborhood Contact Officers became involved in the investigation at the request of Postal Inspectors, who suspected illegal activity was taking place involving the shipping of marijuana. During the course of the investigation, officers obtained evidence that  indicates the suspect was involved in the receipt and sale of marijuana at his residence, on the 8200 block of West Valley View Drive. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant. Further inquiries into this case should be directed to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.

   Arrested: Allison L. Adare, 41, Boise

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

   Boise Police received a citizen report of a possible drunk driver who had arrived at an educational institution on the 700 block of East Boise last night, March 21st, at approximately 10:30 p.m. Officers located the suspect at the school and obtained evidence indicating she had driven there. The suspect appeared to be very intoxicated at the time and failed field sobriety tests before blowing a .26/.25 at the Ada County Jail. A check through Boise City Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

   Warrant Arrested: Mona L. Fuentes, 29, Boise

   Warrant Charges: Grand Theft (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Grand Theft yesterday.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into a vehicle the suspect borrowed from the victim in July of 2012. Evidence indicates the suspect borrowed the vehicle with the owners permission, then failed to return the vehicle. After repeated attempts to contact the suspect and recover the vehicle officers began to investigate the incident as a theft. The vehicle was never returned. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant. Further inquiries into this case should be directed to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.

   Arrested: Astraiah J. Armstrong, 22, Boise

   Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F)

   Arrested: Alayjah Armstrong, 18, Boise

   Charges: Petit Theft (m)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 600 block of North Milwaukee Street yesterday, March 21st, at approximately 3:00 p.m. Store employees tell police the suspects had concealed merchandise before leaving the store without paying. Officers located the suspects and recovered stolen items from the suspects persons including shoes and earrings. During the course of the investigation Astraiah Armstrong removed her hands from her clothing and several used syringes fell out. The syringes contained meth residue. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   The Boise Police Department has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the program is to work with retailers and the Boise business community to reduce retail theft and fraud, crimes that have significant impacts on consumer prices.

    Arrested: Rory T. Wetzel, 23, Ontario Oregon

    Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana-more than 3 ounces)(F)

    Citation Issued: Joe R. Frazier, 23, Payette ID

    Citation Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (marijuana)(m)

   Boise Police on patrol yesterday afternoon, March 21st, at approximately 2:30 p.m. observed the occupants of a vehicle stopped at a light near 9th and Hayes smoking what appeared to be a controlled substance. As the suspects noticed the officer they attempted to conceal the substance. As officers contacted the occupants of the vehicle they could clearly smell the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed a small bag of marijuana, a marijuana cigarette, and a backpack containing plastic bag with more than 3 ounces of mairjuana. During the course of the investigation officers obtained evidence that indicated the large package of marijuana belonged to Rory Wetzel. Wetzel was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges. The passenger, Joe Frazier was issued a citation for marijuana possession.

   Warrant Arrested: Daniel R. Goff, 37, Boise

   Warrant Charges: Grand Theft (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Grand Theft yesterday.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into a financial transaction card the suspect received from the victim in August of last year. Evidence indicates the suspect was given the card to deliver to a third party for the victim. The victim tells police he then discovered the card had not been delivered, and more than $2,000.00 had been taken from the victim's bank account. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant. Further inquiries into this case should be directed to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
