Grand Theft and Robbery arrests; Daily incident report

   Arrested: Andrew L. Helland, 28, Boise

   Charges: Grand Theft (F)

   Arrested: Brandy C. Helland, 50, Boise

   Charges: Grand Theft (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a theft in progress at an industrial facility on the 4600 block of South Apple Street early this morning, March 21st, just after midnight. An employee of the business tells police he witnessed the two suspects using a backhoe to move scrap metal over the fence and load it into a vehicle outside the property. Officers located Brandy Helland outside the fence with the vehicle that had been loaded with scrap metal. Andrew Helland was located at a residence in Boise a short time later. After a detailed investigation, the suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   Warrant Arrested: Akol M. Ring, 18, Boise

   Warrant Charges:  Robbery (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Robbery yesterday.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the attempted theft of a computer outside a store on March 2nd of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect was involved in the attempted robbery of a citizen in an attempt to obtain a computer that had just been purchased outside a store on the 400 block of South 8th at approximately 3:00 p.m. Officers later identified the suspect through a detailed investigation. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant. Further inquiries into this case should be directed to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.

    Arrested: Darin M. Ogden, 39, Boise

    Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Driving Without Privileges (m), Failure To Appear Warrant Charges (m)

   Boise Police on patrol early this morning, March 21st, at approximately 3:00 a.m. observed a vehicle with only one headlight travelling Eastbound on State Street and conducted a traffic stop near West State and 36th Street. As officers contacted the driver, Boise City Records indicated the suspect had current warrant for his arrest on failure to appear charges. The suspect was also currently suspended from driving. A search of the suspect's person revealed a plastic baggie containing approximately one gram total package weight of meth. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

   Warrant Arrested: Timothy P. Barth, 32, Boise

   Warrant Charges: Grand Theft (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Grand Theft early this morning.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the theft of four sets of batteries, stolen from vehicles and RV's in Boise, during March of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect was involved in the theft and sale of the batteries to obtain cash. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant. Further inquiries into this case should be directed to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
