Forgery warrant and multiple Burglary arrests; Daily incident report

   Warrant Arrested: Robert A. Govia, 34, Escalon CA.

   Warrant Charges: Forgery (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Forgery yesterday.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into a forged check was cashed at a local merchant. Evidence indicates the suspect was involved in the forgery in June of last year. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

 Arrested: Lance W. Rasmussen, 42, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F), Grand Theft (F)

    Boise Police received a report of employee theft at a retail store on the 10000 block of West Fairview Avenue yesterday, February 5th, at approximately 2:30 p.m. Loss prevention employees tell police the suspect had taken cash and items from the store on three occasions starting in January of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect had deprived the merchant of more than $2,000 dollars in cash and merchandise. After a detailed investigation the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Robert T. Hower, 18, Boise

  Charges: Burglary (F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 8300 block of West Overland Road yesterday, February 5th, at apparoximately 7:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the two adult male suspects, and one juvenile female suspect conceal several items and then leave the store without paying for them. Officers believe the suspects entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charges. The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges. The juvenile was transported to a juvenile facility.

   The Boise Police Department has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the program is to work with retailers and the Boise business community to reduce retail theft and fraud, crimes that have significant impacts on consumer prices.

  Charges: Burglary (F)

The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
