Boise Police observed a vehicle speeding Eastbound on I-84 near Curtis Saturday, February 23rd, at approximately 11:50 p.m.. Officers stopped the driver near the Orchard overpass. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and a blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. Officers recovered an open bottle of beer from the vehicle resulting in the open container charge. A check through Boise City Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

Boise Police on patrol Saturday, February 23rd at approximately 9:00 p.m. observed a vehicle with license plates that were not registered and conducted a traffic stop on the 1500 block of South Orchard Street. As officers contacted the driver, Raul Diaz, they determined he was currently suspended from driving. Officers received consent to search a passenger, Edgar F Perez, and recovered two pipes used for smoking illegal substances. Officers also recovered a small amount of meth from the suspect's person. Edgar Perez was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges. The driver was issued the above listed citation and released.
Arrested: Dustin T. Armstrong, 35, Boise
Charges: Grand Theft (F), Parole Violation charges
Boise Police contacted the suspect in a vehicle at a parking lot located at Pierce Park and State Street Saturday, February 23rd, at approximately 9:00 a.m. after receiving a report of a disturbance involving the suspect at a nearby residence. Officers searched the suspect's vehicle as part of a 4th Amendment waiver at the request of Idaho Probation and Parole agents. Officers recovered a small safe that belonged to the victim from inside the vehicle. Officers determined the safe contained financial documents and cash. The victim and the suspect in this case are well known to each other. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
Arrested: Cameron E. Lee Desind, 21, Emmett
Charges: Burglary (F)
Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 8100 block of West Franklin Road Saturday, February 23rd, at approximately 3:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect conceal merchandise and then leave the store without paying. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
