DUI driver with drug paraphernalia, Lewd Conduct with a Minor Arrest; BPD Daily Incident Report

Arrested: Adolfo Cota, 33, Boise

Charged: DUI (F), Possession of drug paraphernalia (m)

Boise Police Officers on patrol last night, Wednesday, February 6th at 11:18 pm at W. Camas St and S. Vista Ave. noticed a car on the road with no taillights and only one headlight. When officers stopped the car they smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the drivers eyes were glassy and red. The driver, identified as Cota, failed field sobriety tests and was arrested on DUI. Following the arrest, officers found an item used to smoke marijuana with a small amount of burnt marijuana. A records check by officers found the driver had a previous felony DUI conviction in July, 2008. The driver was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.

Arrested: Matthew W. Uhl, 28, Boise

Charged: Lewd Conduct with a Minor(F) 

Boise Police arrested the suspect yesterday on an outstanding warrant issued by Ada County prosecutors on the above charge. Boise Police were contacted October 2, 2012 by another police agency reporting the alleged victim, who lives in their jurisdiction had reported the suspect and victim had sexual contact at the suspect's west Boise home in late September, 2012. The suspect and victim are known to each other. The victim is under age 16. The arrest warrant was issued for the suspect after Ada County Prosecutors reviewed the Boise Police investigation into the case. BPD officers arrested the suspect at his home and booked him into the Ada County Jail on the above charge.

Arrested: Ruben Cavanaugh, 18, Boise

Charge: Burglary (F)

Boise Police arrested the suspect, Cavanaugh on a warrant issued yesterday on the above charge. Boise Police were contacted Feb. 1st by the alleged victim reporting a theft that just occurred from the victim's home near W. Beacon St and S. Boise Ave. The victim and the suspect are known to each other. The arrest warrant was issued for the suspect after Ada County Prosecutors reviewed the Boise Police investigation into the case.
