UPDATE: Children located safe and sound; Officers Search for Man, Children

 The missing children have been located safe and sound a residence in Boise at approximately 8:45 p.m. Officers want to thank the public for their assistance in looking for the children.

Boise, Jan 5, 2013 - Tonight, Boise Police are searching for a man and his two children believed to be walking in the area of northwest Boise. Officers believe the man may be trying to avoid detectives who want to question him in connection with an alleged crime.

Officers are concerned, however for the children's welfare being out in the cold. Information given to officers is the man has no access to a vehicle and the trio is believed to be on foot. They were last seen walking in the area of State Street and Pierce Park in northwest Boise approx. 4:30 p.m. today.

Anyone who sees the trio is urged to contact Boise Police through non-emergency dispatch at 377-6790.

Descriptions:

The two children are four year old twins and about three-feet tall.

The girl has light brown collar-length hair and brown eyes. She's believed to be wearing a dark purple jacket with patches of pink, a purple skirt with black polka dots and black boots.

The boy has short blonde hair and blue eyes. It's believed he's wearing a dark blue coat with patches of green and jeans.

The man is described as 6'1", 200 lbs with blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing a black coat.

Again, the man is wanted for questioning by officers, however, officers are concerned for the children's welfare because of the cold. Information given to officers is the man has no access to a vehicle and the trio is believed to be on foot.
