Lewd Conduct and Sexual Battery warrant arrests; Weekend incident report

   Warrant Arrested: Steven C. Paterson, 34, Boise

   Warrant Charges:  Lewd Conduct (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding Felony warrant for Lewd Conduct yesterday.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into illegal activity that took place in a Boise home on more than one occasion. The suspect and the victim, a juvenile, are known to each other. A warrant was issued and the suspect was taken into custody this weekend. All further inquiries into this case should be directed to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.

   Warrant Arrested: Robert C. Croft, 34, Boise

   Warrant Charges:  Kidnapping (F), Sexual Battery of a Minor Child (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding Felony Grand Jury warrant for Kidnapping and Sexual Battery of a Minor Child Friday.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into illegal activity that took place in a Boise home in January of 2012. The suspect and the victim, a juvenile, are known to each other. A Grand Jury issued the arrest warrant and the suspect was taken into custody. All further inquiries into this case should be directed to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.

    Arrested: Maurice E. Pryor, 45, Boise

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F), Driving Without Privileges (m), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(m)

   Boise Police observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road with no lights on at Vista Road near Kootenai early yesterday morning, January 27th, at approximately 2:00 a.m. As officers approached the vehicle, the driver turned on the lights and began driving Southbound on Vista Avenue, doing approximately 40 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone with slick roads. As the vehicle approached Owyhee Street the vehicle attempted to stop, sliding into the intersection with all four wheels. Officers conducted a traffic stop. The suspect driver, who appeared to be intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and a blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. During the course of the investigation officer determined the suspect was currently suspended on a prior DUI charge. A search of the suspect's person revealed a small amount of marijuana. A check through Boise City Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this arrest a Felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Alicia A. Young, 40, Boise

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

   Boise Police observed a vehicle with expired registration near Boise Avenue and Martha Street Friday evening, January 25th, at approximately 9:30 p.m. The suspect driver, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .15/.14 at the Ada County Jail. A check through Boise City Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Tommie N. Thompson, 36, Boise

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

   Boise Police observed a vehicle fail to stop before entering the roadway and speeding near Camas and Orchard early yesterday morning, January 27th, at approximately 4:00 a.m.  The suspect driver, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and a blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. A check through Boise City Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Ien S. Mcfarlane, 18, Boise

  Charges: Burglary (F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 300 block of North Milwaukee Street Saturday, January 26th, at approximately 4:15 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect conceal a pair of jeans under a sweatshirt and then attempt to flee the store on foot. The suspect was detained by security personnel until officers arrived. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   The Boise Police Department has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal is to work with retailers and the Boise business community to reduce retail theft and fraud, crimes that have significant impacts on consumer prices.

  Arrested: Nicholas L. Sanderfer, 20, Boise

  Charges: Burglary (F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 8300 block of West Overland Road Friday, January 25th, at approximately 2:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect remove items from the packaging, conceal them, and then attempt to flee the store on foot. The suspect was detained by security personnel until officers arrived. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
