Battery with a fire extinguisher and other Felony arrests; Daily incident report

   Arrested: Bradin S. Bulen, 22, Boise

   Charges: Aggravated Battery (F), Malicious Injury to Property, (m)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a battery at a residence on the 8500 block of West Fairview Avenue yesterday, January 9th, at approximately 12:25 p.m. The adult male victim, who is a home health care provider, tells police the suspect intentionally broke a lamp during a meeting. According to the victim, he was escorting the suspect back to his residence when the suspect became angry and used a fire extinguisher to strike him. According to the victim, the suspect then kicked and hit him several more times. A third party called police. The victim was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be non life threatening injuries at the time. After a detailed investigation, the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Jammison D. Griffin, 40, Boise

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a collision in a parking lot on the 1800 block of West Main early this morning, January 10th, at approximately 2:00 a.m. Multiple witnesses tell police the suspect backed his vehicle into a parked car in the parking lot. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .24/.24 at the Ada County Jail. No one was injured in the collision. A check through Boise City Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

   Warrant Arrested: Terrie D. Bottoms, 41, Oakridge OR.

   Warrant Charges: Grand Theft (F)

   Warrant Arrested: Brandon A. Clapsadle, 27, Springfield OR.

   Warrant Charges: Grand Theft (F)

     The suspects were transferred to the Ada County Jail from Oregon yesterday to face outstanding felony warrant charges for Grand Theft. The suspects were already in custody in Oregon. 

    The arrest warrants stem from an ongoing investigation into the theft of merchandise from several retail stores in Boise in August of last year. Evidence indicates the suspects stole merchandise from at least three local stores and then sold the merchandise to obtain cash. Officers recovered most of the merchandise, valued at more than $2,000.00. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrants.

   Warrant Arrested: Anthony D. Hawkins, 23, Boise

   Warrant Charges: Burglary (F), Probation Violation (m)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Burglary early this morning. 

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into a chainsaw stolen from a residence in September of last year. Evidence indicates the suspect, who is known to the victim, stole the chainsaw and later sold it for cash. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

  Arrested: Eric G. Vasquez, 31, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F), Possession of  Controlled Substance (prescription drugs)(F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 2000 block of South Cole Road yesterday, January 9th, at approximately 2:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect select merchandise and use a razor blade to remove the packaging. The suspect then attempted to leave without paying for the items. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. A search of the suspect's person revealed nine amphetamine prescription drugs the suspect did not have documentation for. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
