Aggravated Battery Warrant and Drug Possession arrest; Daily incident report

   Warrant Arrested: Jeffrey R. Van Nest Jr, 26, Boise

   Warrant Charges:  Aggravated Battery (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant Aggravated Battery yesterday.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into an incident that took place in April of last year. Evidence indicates the suspect and the victim, an adult female, were involved in a fight near 5th and Bannock at approximately 2:00 a.m. At one point, witnesses tell police the suspect kicked, and then punched the victim, causing injuries that later required surgery to the victim's knee. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 9 ASSAULT AND BATTERY 18-907. Aggravated battery defined. (1) A person commits aggravated battery who, in committing battery: (a)Causes great bodily harm, permanent disability or permanent disfigurement;

   Warrant Arrested: Christopher T. Williams, 18, Boise

   Warrant Charges:  Aggravated Battery (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant Aggravated Battery yesterday.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into an incident that took place in June of last year. Evidence indicates the suspect and the victim, a juvenile male, were involved in a fight at a park on the 700 block of Robbins Road. At one point, witnesses tell police the suspect struck the victim using a skateboard. The victim also suffered a broken nose. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

  Arrested: Virginia A. Ilett (ilett), 45, Boise

   Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Agents Warrant/Parole Violation (F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m), Providing Alcohol to a Minor (m)

    Boise Police assisted Idaho Probation and Parole agents on the search of a residence on the 1700 block of West  Barlow Street yesterday, January 2nd 2013 at approximately 2:30 p.m. Officers located plastic baggies containing a small amount of Meth and items of drug paraphernalia belonging to the suspect. During the course of the investigation, officers determined the suspect had provided alcohol to a minor who lived at the home. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

   Warrant Arrested: Leland Bettencourt, 29, Boise

   Warrant Charges:  Grand Theft (F)

     The suspect was transferred from Washington State to face charges on an outstanding felony warrant for Grand Theft yesterday.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into a ring stolen from an acquaintance in July of 2012. Evidence indicates the suspect, who is known to the victim, was involved in the theft of the ring valued at more than $1,000.00. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
