On Thursday December 13th Boise Police conducted a holiday season compliance check throughout the city of Boise. Although more businesses failed to comply with the law as compared to the November checks, the vast majority of our local establishments are doing the right thing.
Officers checked 53 establishments using three minors as decoys. Out of the 53 locations checked, only four sold alcohol to the minors. Two of the four clerks who sold to a minor, never asked for the minor's identification. Two clerks did look at the ID, but sold the alcohol to the minors anyway.
The establishments who failed the compliance checks were:
Stinker at 35rd/State (3412 W. State)
Tesoro at 16th/State (1522 W. State)
Bueno Cheapo Wine Shop on Vista (770 S. Vista)
Chevron at Cloverdale/Overland (12222 W. Overland)
