Felony DUI and Meth Possession arrests; Weekend incident report

    Arrested: Lisa M. Cresswell, 31, Boise

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F), Driving Without Privileges (m), Injury to a Child (m)

   Boise Police received information, as part of a disturbance call, that indicated the suspect may be driving intoxicated with a child in the car early Sunday morning, December 30th,  just after midnight. Officers located the suspect vehicle near 22nd and Anderson Street. Officers contacted the driver, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time. The suspect failed several field sobriety tests and a blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. A check through Boise City Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI, making this charge a felony. Officers determined the suspect was currently suspended from driving. A child, under the age of five, was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the arrest resulting in the Injury to a Child charge. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 15 CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS 18-1501. Injury to children. (1) Any person who, under circumstances or conditions likely to produce great bodily harm or death, willfully causes or permits any child to suffer, or inflicts thereon unjustifiable physical pain or mental suffering, or having the care or custody of any child, willfully causes or permits the person or health of such child to be injured, or willfully causes or permits such child to be placed in such situation that its person or health is endangered, is punishable by imprisonment in the county jail not exceeding one (1) year, or in the state prison for not less than one (1) year nor more than ten (10) years.

    Arrested: Daniel J. Davis, 22, Boise

    Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m), Carrying a Concealed Weapon (m)

   Boise Police received a citizen report of a person hiding in the bushes in a neighbor's yard just before 8:00 p.m. Sunday night on the 9000 block of West Brookview Court. Officers located the suspect matching the suspect description walking down the street. As officers contacted the suspect, he them he was carrying a knife on his person. While removing the knife, officers located a pipe with meth residue on it. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
